Focus:

• To consider a range of practical strategies to develop children’s communication and language skills.
• To reflect on what makes a language rich learning environment.
• To consider how careful planning, resourcing and provision can further enhance language opportunities.

Summer Term 2025

Planning a high-quality EYFS curriculum – Thursday 12 June 2025

Focus:

• To consider where to begin when planning an effective EYFS curriculum
• To think about what makes a personalised EYFS curriculum.
• To reflect upon how we strike a balance between adult-directed and child-initiated learning.
• To explore a range of progressive, high-quality texts to ensure early reading and language are embedded in curriculum design.
